We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a busy transport operation in Immingham on a temporary, night-shift basis.

This established transport and logistics business provides road freight services from a network of UK locations, including Immingham. Its operations cover the movement of different types of cargo, with services supporting local, national and international transport requirements.

The role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Driving a Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly • Completing deliveries and collections in line with agreed schedules • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects • Ensuring loads are secure and handled appropriately • Completing delivery paperwork and using relevant transport systems • Maintaining compliance with road safety, drivers' hours and tachograph regulations • Providing professional service at collection and delivery points

Skills and qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) • Valid digital tachograph card • Previous Class 1 driving experience • Good knowledge of drivers' hours and road transport regulations • Strong safety awareness and a reliable approach to work • Good communication skills and professional customer service • Ability to work independently during night shifts
