People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Birmingham . This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, CE Driver, C+E Driver, HGV Driver, Trunk Driver, RDC Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver. Shift Pattern Days

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 03:00 – 06:00 Rates of Pay Days
• £16.98 per hour (basic rate)
• £22.57 per hour after 48 hours worked

• Industry-related training and ongoing support Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Completing depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps
• Operating Category CE (HGV Class 1) vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre-use and post-use vehicle safety inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly before departure
• Complying with Driver Hours Regulations, the Working Time Directive, and UK road traffic legislation
• Maintaining accurate transport paperwork and delivery documentation
• Communicating effectively with the transport office regarding delays or operational issues
• Delivering a professional and reliable service at all times Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A valid UK Category CE (HGV Class 1) Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A minimum of two years' Category CE driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
• Good knowledge of Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Working Time Regulations
• Good spoken and written English
• A reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach to work Desirable Experience
• Previous experience completing Class 1 trunking, RDC deliveries, trailer swaps, or general haulage work would be advantageous Training Provided
• Driver assessment required prior to starting
