HGV Class 1 Night Driver

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated HGV Class 1 Night Driver to work from their depot in Sunderland . This role is integral to our overnight logistics operations, ensuring goods are transported efficiently and securely during off-peak hours. You will be responsible for completing scheduled trunking runs, maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism throughout your shift. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver looking for stable, consistent night work in the Tyne and Wear region.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled trunking routes using a Class 1 HGV vehicle overnight.
• Ensure the safe and secure transport of goods, adhering to all company and legal regulations.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks before and after each shift, reporting any issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents.
• Provide efficient and professional service to depots and delivery points.
• Communicate effectively with the night shift supervisor and logistics team.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 HGV license (C+E).
• Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digi Tachograph card.
• Demonstrable experience as a Class 1 driver , particularly with night work.
• Clean driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Knowledge of UK road networks and transport regulations .
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently.
