About the Role

Our client requires a dedicated HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join their established transport team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role involves trunking operations, typically moving goods between distribution centers overnight. You will be responsible for the safe and timely transit of loads, ensuring adherence to all legal requirements and company policies. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with excellent driving skills and a professional attitude. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle safely and efficiently on night routes.
• Transport goods between specified locations, ensuring on-time arrivals.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-shift vehicle checks and report any issues.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and tachograph records.
• Adhere to strict working time directive regulations.
• Ensure loads are secure and handled correctly.

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) license .
• Up-to-date Driver CPC card and Digi Tachograph card.
• Demonstrated experience as a Class 1 Night Driver .
• Knowledge of UK road network, especially routes relevant to Stoke-on-Trent .
• Commitment to safety and compliance with all transport laws.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts.
