• Runcorn People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our well-established client based in Runcorn . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing assignments, weekly pay, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, paid induction and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading logistics business. New passes are welcome, as full training will be provided on site. This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver. Rates of Pay: £18.22 per hour Monday to Friday £21.00 per hour Saturday £22.00 per hour Sunday Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off 19:00
• 07:00 Benefits: Your benefits as an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver are: Excellent hourly rates of pay Weekly pay Ongoing work Overtime opportunities Site canteen Immediate starts available Employee wellbeing programme Driver assessment and paid induction Industry-related training provided Ongoing support throughout your assignment Day-to-Day Duties: Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver are: Completing yard shunting duties and vehicle movements around the site Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently Carrying out unit movements on the yard Ensuring the yard is kept clean and tidy Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly Assisting with loading and unloading where required Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times Essential Skills: To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver , you will need: Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence Valid Driver CPC Card Valid Digital Tachograph Card No more than six penalty points for minor offences No DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 endorsement codes Good spoken and written xwwtmva English Excellent punctuality and timekeeping Good understanding of UK road traffic legislation Strong communication skills Training: Driver assessment required prior to starting One-week paid induction following a successful assessment Industry-related training provided Ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply: If you are interested in this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver , please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
