About the Role

Our client is seeking a competent and professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join their operations based in Plymouth . You will be responsible for transporting and delivering goods across the Devon region, ensuring timely and safe arrival at each destination. This role requires meticulous attention to detail in vehicle operation and adherence to all traffic and safety regulations. You will play a crucial part in the company's supply chain, ensuring reliable service delivery to their customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and efficiently on designated routes.
• Perform thorough pre-drive checks and report any vehicle defects immediately.
• Load and unload goods as required, ensuring secure transit of all items.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and driver hours.
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery and collection interactions in Plymouth .
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements for drivers.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) driving license .
• Current Driver CPC qualification and Digi-Tacho card.
• Proven experience as a Class 2 driver.
• Good knowledge of the local road network around Plymouth and Devon.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
