HGV Class 2 Driver - Curtainsider

About the Role

Our client in Plymouth is looking for a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to operate a curtainsider vehicle for local deliveries. You will be responsible for the safe transport and delivery of goods throughout the Devon area. This role requires a driver who is diligent, punctual, and capable of managing their workload effectively while maintaining excellent customer service standards. The position is integral to our client's daily distribution network in the South West region.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle with a curtainsider body for local deliveries and collections.
• Ensure goods are loaded, secured, and delivered safely and on time.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes within the Plymouth and surrounding areas.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any issues promptly.
• Comply with all legal requirements regarding driving hours and vehicle operation.
• Maintain professional conduct and positive customer interactions.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence .
• Current Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Proven experience driving Class 2 vehicles, preferably with curtainsider experience.
• Familiarity with the Devon road network.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
