Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers on behalf of one of the region's leading food distribution businesses.

This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a professional Class 2 driver looking to join a well-established company with a strong reputation and the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful qualifying period.

The Role

As a Class 2 Multi‑Drop Driver, your duties will include:

• Delivering chilled and ambient food products to commercial customers
• Multi‑drop deliveries across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and surrounding areas
• Carrying out vehicle checks and completing delivery paperwork
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time
• Some manual handling as part of the role

Working Hours

• Tuesday to Saturday
• 37.5 hours per week
• Early morning starts
• Overtime may be available

Pay

• £15.00 per hour
• Weekly pay through Driver Hire during the temporary period

Requirements

To be considered for this role you will need:

• Full HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (No DD, DR or IN endorsements)
• Aged 25 or over for insurance purposes
• Previous Class 2 multi‑drop delivery experience preferred
• Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• A reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
