About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join their night shift operations in Southampton . This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods during off-peak hours, ensuring timely collections and deliveries across the region. You will be responsible for operating a Class 2 vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, experienced in night-time driving, and committed to upholding our client’s reputation for reliability and professionalism in the Hampshire area.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle for collections and deliveries during night shifts.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections, reporting any defects.
• Adhere strictly to working time directives and tachograph regulations.
• Ensure accurate completion of all delivery paperwork and logs.
• Maintain professional conduct and represent the company positively.
• Safely load and secure goods as required for transport.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence .
• Current Driver CPC card and digital tachograph card.
• Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles, preferably on night shifts.
• Good knowledge of the Southampton and surrounding areas.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
