HGV Class 2 Driver

Connect Driver Solutions is recruiting a HGV Class 2 Driver based in Dunbar, covering end-of-life tyre collection routes across Scotland.

Our client is an established waste management business offering consistent Monday to Friday work, your own assigned vehicle from day one and a structured overnight rota.

Please Note: Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug and alcohol test before being placed on assignment.

What's on offer?

Temporary to permanent opportunity Monday to Friday, start times between 4:30am and 6am - depending on route Paid weekly at £15.23 per hour, rising to £20.30 per hour after 48 hours £26.20 overnight allowance - overnights available at least every second week Own vehicle assigned from day oneAs a Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

Collecting end-of-life tyres from garages, commercial businesses and waste facilities across Scotland Manually loading and unloading tyres at collection points and the depot Completing all required paperwork including waste transfer notes accurately Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects promptly Providing a professional and courteous service to customers at all collection pointsThe ideal Class 2 Driver will have:

A valid Class 2 licence - new driver's welcome Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card A good level of physical fitness due to the manual handling requirements of the role Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer interaction Strong time management and organisational skillsPlease Note: Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug and alcohol test before being placed on assignment.
