HGV Class 2 Driver

Our client in Haddenham is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established and solid business, delivering and collecting equipment from customers across the UK.

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of plant and equipment, ensuring loads are correctly loaded, secured and transported safely.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Delivery and collection of plant, machinery and equipment to and from customers.

• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and accurately.

• Ensuring all loads are correctly secured for transportation.

• Liaising with customers and providing a professional service at all times.

• Maintaining good communication with the depot and other members of the team.

• Driving throughout the UK, including London.

• Completing vehicle checks and maintaining the cleanliness and general condition of the vehicle.

• Complying with tachograph legislation and Drivers' Hours/Working Time Regulations.

• Following company health and safety and security procedures.

• Occasional nights out and weekend work when required.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.

• Valid Digital Tachograph and Driver CPC.

• Previous HGV driving experience.

• Experience delivering plant or similar equipment would be advantageous.

• Good knowledge of UK roads and London.

• Understanding of safe loading and load security.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Reliable, committed and able to work independently.

• Good attention to detail.

• Category C+E licence would be advantageous.

• Permanent position.

• Salary of £17.00 - £17.50 per hour, depending on experience.

• Equivalent salary: £37,000 - £38,500 + OT

• Varied working hours, with further details provided upon application.
