The role

We are looking for a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to carry out general delivery and collection work safely and efficiently. You will represent the business on the road, maintain high standards of service and ensure all transport duties are completed in line with legal and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle on local and regional routes • Completing deliveries and collections safely and on time • Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks • Securing loads correctly and reporting any defects or issues • Completing delivery paperwork and digital records accurately • Following road transport, driving hours and health and safety regulations • Providing professional customer service at collection and delivery points

Skills and qualifications

• Valid Category C / HGV Class 2 driving licence • Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) • Valid digital tachograph card • Good knowledge of road safety and drivers' hours regulations • Reliable, punctual and responsible approach to work • Good communication and customer service skills • Previous commercial driving experience is desirable
