HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver

Proactive Staff are looking for reliable Refuse Drivers (HGV Class 2) for local council. This role involves both driving and assisting with refuse collecting, so being able to be hands-on and working as a team are essential. This role comes with immediate start!

• £15.58 per hour
• 2pm-10pm, Monday-Friday – No weekends!
• PPE and Uniform provided
• Will lead to permanent contract

Role overview: You will be responsible for safely driving the refuse truck along the designated routes and stay on schedule for efficient collections as well as clearing fly tipping from open spaces and public hotspots, litter pick designated areas and carry out other cleansing functions such as sweeping and keeping the highways, footpaths and grassed area tidy.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow designated routes and schedules for efficient collections.
• Safely operate the HGV vehicle for refuse and recycling collections.
• Working in all weather conditions.

Skills and Experience:

• Must have valid Class 2 HGV licence, Digital Tachograph and CPC
• Previous experience is preferred but not required
• Physical fitness for hands-on tasks during collections.
• Must be able to provide recent work references to demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness
