HGV Driver - Pallet Network

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced HGV Driver to join their established pallet network operations based in Glasgow . You will be responsible for transporting goods between distribution hubs and customer sites across Scotland. This role requires a professional approach, adherence to strict schedules, and a commitment to safety and compliance in all aspects of driving. The successful candidate will be a key member of the transport team, ensuring the efficient flow of freight within the network, contributing to the company's reputation for reliability in the Scottish logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV vehicle safely and legally, adhering to tachograph regulations and driving hours.
• Complete trunking runs and pallet collections/deliveries as assigned by the transport team.
• Ensure all loads are safely secured and protected during transit.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and the transport planning department.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV driving licence.
• Current Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
• Proven experience driving HGVs, preferably within a pallet network or similar freight operation.
• Good knowledge of road networks across Scotland .
• Excellent understanding of health, safety, and compliance regulations.
