HGV Driver - Winter Maintenance

Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting Winter Patrol Drivers for seasonal positions in Inveraray, supporting winter road maintenance operations throughout the colder months.

The Role:

• Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles on winter maintenance duties.
• Operating gritters and snow ploughs during adverse weather.
• Fitting gritter bodies and snow plough blades and spreading salt when required.
• Working a flexible rota including night shifts, standby and weather-dependent overtime .
• Working outdoors in challenging weather conditions while following strict health & safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence with LGV Class 2 (Category C) entitlement.
• Previous winter maintenance or roadworking experience is desirable, but full training can be provided.
• Flexible approach to shifts, standby and night working.

These are fixed-term seasonal positions, with potential opportunities for further seasonal work or longer-term employment for candidates who demonstrate commitment and reliability.

There are digs available on this role & Average weekly hours 60+

PAYE Rates

from £15.50 to £31.00ph
