Location: Newark, Nottingham

Salary: £24.00 per hour (Days/Afters) or £27.00 per hour (Nights)

Shift Patterns: Days/Afters: Rotating shifts (5:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 11:00pm) – 45 hours per week Nights: Monday to Friday, 10:00pm – 6:00am – Average 40 hours per week

Key Senior HGV Mechanic Responsibilities:

· Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV trucks and trailers

· Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults

· Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities

· Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT testing and ensure DVSA compliance

· Conduct safety inspections and identify defects promptly

· Accurately complete maintenance records and workshop documentation

· Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard

· Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment

· Work collaboratively with colleagues to minimise vehicle downtime

· Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and industry regulations

Required Skills & Experience:

· Fully qualified HGV Technician with City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Heavy xwwtmva Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent qualification

· Proven experience maintaining and repairing HGV trucks and trailers within a commercial vehicle environment

· Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems

· Excellent understanding of DVSA regulations and vehicle compliance requirements

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality standards

· Own transport essential due to site location
