HGV Refrigeration Engineer

Location : Rotherham Salary : Competitive, depending on experience £40,000 - £45,000 Hours : 07:00 - 16:00 We are currently recruiting for an On-Site Fridge Engineer / Transport Refrigeration Engineer to join an established transport and logistics operation with a fleet of 50+ HGVs and trailers, including refrigerated vehicles. HGV Refrigeration Engineer - The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the company's refrigerated vehicles operational and ensuring refrigeration units are maintained to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

Servicing and maintaining refrigeration units on HGVs, trailers and vans Diagnosing and repairing refrigeration faults Carrying out preventative maintenance and routine inspections Working on fridge/freezer units across the commercial vehicle fleet Identifying mechanical and refrigeration issues and resolving them efficiently Completing service sheets, maintenance records and relevant paperwork Keeping accurate records of repairs, servicing and parts used Ensuring all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and kept up to date Helping minimise vehicle downtime across the fleet HGV Refrigeration Engineer - About You We are looking for someone who is mechanically minded and has practical experience working with refrigerated vehicles or refrigeration systems.
