We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established, multi-franchise approved commercial vehicle dealership located in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, for the position of HGV Technician.

Duties of the HGV Technician:
- Perform all heavy goods vehicle (HGV) servicing and maintenance work efficiently and to a high standard, within manufacturer timeframes
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions on heavy goods vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance
- Support colleagues with technical issues and technical innovations
- Complete detailed documentation of diagnosis, repairs, servicing, and safety inspections
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures at all times
- Contribute to team objectives and achieve set targets
- Support in ongoing technical training and development initiatives
Requirements of the HGV Technician:
- Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- At least one to two years of practical experience as an HGV Technician
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills for heavy goods vehicles
- Good team player with high attention to detail and quality
- Motivated to work in a busy franchise-approved environment
- Flexibility to work a
42.5-hour week on a rotational shift system, Monday to Friday, with shifts from 6:00am-3:00pm, 7:00am-4:00pm, and 1:00pm-10:00pm - Ability to work 1 in 3 Saturdays, 7:00am-1:00pm, paid at overtime rate
- Individuals with a Class 1 or 2 HGV driving licence are highly advantageous but not essential
