HGV Technician - Lincoln Location: Lincoln Salary:£44,393 per annum Hours: Rotating Early / Late Shift Saturday: Rotating Saturday morning - paid at time and a half

Looking for Your Next HGV Technician Opportunity? We're recruiting for experienced HGV Technicians to join a professional commercial vehicle workshop in Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a long-term position with a structured rotating shift pattern, excellent earning potential and additional Saturday overtime.

Shift Pattern Week 1 - Early Shift Monday - Friday: 6:00am - 3:30pm

Week 2 - Late Shift Monday - Friday: 1:00pm - 10:30pm

Rotating Saturday 7:00am - 12:00 midday Saturday hours paid at time and a half.

The Role

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Inspecting and repairing HGVs to DVSA standards.
• Carrying out servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Preparing and presenting vehicles for MOT testing.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using specialist diagnostic equipment.
• Carrying out general mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Attending off-site breakdowns when required.
• Completing repair documentation and job sheets accurately.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Working as part of a professional workshop team to minimise vehicle downtime.

About You

We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician with:

• Relevant NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.
• Previous HGV or commercial vehicle maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic fault-finding skills.
• A reliable and professional approach to work.
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Main dealer experience is advantageous, but candidates from all commercial vehicle backgrounds will be considered.
