HGV Technician

Our client, a reputable commercial vehicle specialist based in Hull, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their team. • - Basic salary up to £46,800, increasing to £50,700 with overtime
• - Optional overtime available to maximise your earnings
• - Fixed two-week shift rota with early and late shifts
• - Work on a variety of commercial vehicles, including vans, flatbeds, curtainsiders, and tractor units
• - Paid overtime for Saturday mornings (1 in 2 rota)

Duties of a HGV Technician:

• - Inspect and repair commercial vehicles to DVSA standards, including MOT preparation and presentation
• - Conduct fault diagnosis using advanced diagnostic equipment
• - Carry out general mechanical and electrical repairs as a HGV Technician
• - Attend breakdowns onsite and offsite as required
• - Maintain excellent customer service standards, ensuring vehicles remain on the road
• - Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements of a HGV Technician:

• - Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance Qualification or equivalent
• - Proven experience as an HGV or Van Technician
• - Ability to work to high standards and attention to detail
• - Strong team work ethic and positive attitude
• - Commitment to professional development and adherence to health and safety protocols
• - Own set of tools
• - Full UK Driver’s Licence
