Location: Wellington Hours: 45 hours per week | Monday-Friday, 11:00am-21:00pm Lunch: 1-hour unpaid break Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Salary: £50,000 + Overtime
We are currently recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy workshop in Wellington. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician looking for a permanent position, a consistent Monday-to-Friday shift pattern and a strong benefits package.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical faults
- Carrying out general workshop repairs and maintenance
- Preparing vehicles for MOT testing
- Completing service and repair documentation accurately
- Keeping electronic and paper-based records up to date
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Following all relevant health and safety procedures
- Working efficiently to meet workshop requirements
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Motor Vehicle / Heavy Vehicle Repair
- Previous HGV or commercial vehicle maintenance experience
- MOT preparation experience
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
