Role: Permanent | Night Shift | 45 hours per week

Salary: Up to £22 per hour

Shift Pattern: Sunday night - Thursday night

Hours: 9pm-6am or 6pm-3am

OVERVIEW

We're recruiting for an HGV Workshop Supervisor to take the lead on permanent night shifts within a busy, growing operation in Leyland.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be working on the tools while also taking responsibility for the team around you – organising workloads, prioritising jobs and making sure vehicles are maintained, repaired and ready for the road.

You don't need to already be a Workshop Supervisor. We're equally interested in experienced HGV Technicians or Mechanics who have experience managing or leading a team and are ready to take the next step in their career.

You'll be joining a business that’s growing quickly and investing in its workshop, giving you the opportunity to take on more responsibility while still doing the hands-on mechanical work you enjoy.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter background
• Experience managing, leading or taking responsibility for a team
• Confident carrying out servicing, repairs and fault-finding
• Comfortable organising workloads and prioritising jobs
• Happy working permanent nights
• Practical, reliable and confident making decisions
• Someone who takes pride in doing the job properly and wants to progress

HGV WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and support the workshop team throughout the night shift
• Allocate workloads and prioritise repairs
• Carry out hands-on servicing, maintenance, repairs and inspections
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
• Support other Technicians with more complex repairs and technical issues
• Ensure vehicles are repaired and ready for operation
• Make sure jobs are completed safely, correctly and to a high standard
• Maintain accurate service, inspection and repair records
• Ensure Health & Safety and workshop standards are followed
• Keep the night shift running smoothly and minimise vehicle downtime
