HGV1 & HGV2 DRIVERS WANTED

Pertemps Milton Keynes are recruiting HGV1 and HGV2 Drivers for a leading distribution client based in Northampton. Whether you’re an experienced HGV1 driver or an HGV2 driver who knows London’s roads better than most sat navs, we’d love to hear from you.
THE IMPORTANT BITS
- Location: Northampton
- Shift Patterns:Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday
- Start Times:Between 04:00 and 12:00
- Hours:Around 50 hours per week
PAY RATES
HGV1 Drivers
- £18.52 per hour
- £27.78 per hour overtime (after 8 hours)
HGV2 Drivers
- £15.52 per hour
- £21.29 per hour overtime(after 8 hours)

THE JOB
You’ll be delivering palletised goods across London and the surrounding areas, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time.
Depending on your licence category you’ll typically complete:
- HGV1: 2-6 store deliveries per shift
- HGV2: 1-2 deliveries and collections per shift
You’ll also:
- Complete delivery paperwork
- Carry out daily vehicle checks
- Follow all driver compliance procedures
- Provide excellent customer service
- Keep cool when someone says, "I won't keep you long mate" before disappearing for half an hour
For HGV1 Drivers, pump truck unloading will be required.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Valid HGV1 (C+E) or HGV2 (Category C) Licence
- Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 12 months' experience in your licence category
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No CU, DD, DR or TT endorsements
- Professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude
