Higher Level Teaching Assistant

HLTA - Enfield

Remedy Education are looking for a confident and experienced HLTA to join a supportive school based in Enfield.

This role is specifically for a qualified or experienced HLTA, so applicants must have previous HLTA experience or a recognised HLTA qualification. The school are looking for someone who can confidently cover classes, support learning across the school and work closely with teachers and senior leaders.

Role Details:

Position: HLTA Location: Enfield Pay: £120-£140 per day Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Start Date: ASAP / September start available School Type: Primary / Secondary / SEN School

The Role

As an HLTA, you will:

• Deliver planned lessons and cover classes when required
• Support pupils on a 1:1, small group and whole-class basis
• Work closely with teachers to prepare resources and support learning
• Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Support pupils with additional learning, emotional or behavioural needs
• Lead interventions to help improve pupil progress and confidence
• Provide feedback to teachers and senior staff on pupil engagement and development
• Help create a calm, structured and inclusive school environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• HLTA qualification or strong previous HLTA experience
• Experience covering classes and leading learning activities
• Previous experience working in a school setting
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Confidence supporting pupils with different learning needs
• A calm, organised and proactive approach
• The ability to work well with teachers, support staff and senior leaders
• A valid enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one

Please note, this role requires an experienced HLTA. Candidates without HLTA experience or a recognised HLTA qualification will not be suitable for this position.
