Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Hire Controller to join a busy and established plant/tool hire operation in Acton. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous hire desk experience who enjoys a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Role Overview
- Manage customer hire enquiries, bookings and off-hires
- Process contracts, orders and hire documentation
- Coordinate equipment deliveries and collections
- Liaise with workshop and transport teams
- Monitor fleet availability and equipment allocation
- Maximise hire opportunities and ancillary sales
- Provide excellent customer service
- Assist customers with loading/unloading equipment when required
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience within plant hire, tool hire or equipment rental
- Previous hire desk/hire controller experience
- Syrinx experience highly desirable
- Good knowledge of the hire process, transport and fleet scheduling
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Full UK Category B manual driving licence essential
- Physically fit and comfortable assisting with loading/unloading
- Polish or Ukrainian language skills advantageous
Salary & Benefits
- £46,000+ per year
- Monday-Friday, 6am-5pm
- Minimum 2 Saturdays per month, 6am-1pm
- Established plant/tool hire operation
