Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire Start Date: January 2027 Contract: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent Salary: £35,602 to £48,479
Do you enjoy bringing the past to life for young learners? A St Albans secondary school is seeking a History Teacher to create engaging lessons that foster curiosity and understanding of the world.
The Role at a Glance Teach History across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 if able), helping pupils explore events, people, and societies from the past.

- Planning and delivering engaging history lessons
- Encouraging critical thinking and enquiry skills
- Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback
- Creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom
- Collaborating with colleagues to enrich the curriculum
Who We’re Looking For
- QTS or equivalent
- Experience teaching History
- Enthusiastic, creative, and proactive
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
