History Teacher

Bright Star Talent are currently working with a secondary school in Tamworth who are looking for a passionate and committed History Teacher to join their team.

This role would suit a teacher who enjoys bringing History to life in the classroom and can build positive relationships with students. You’ll be teaching across the secondary age range, planning and delivering engaging lessons while helping students develop their knowledge, confidence and understanding of the subject.

The Role

• Teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Planning and delivering engaging History lessons

• Preparing students for GCSE examinations

• Creating lessons that encourage students to ask questions and think critically

• Assessing pupils' work and monitoring their progress

• Providing clear and constructive feedback

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's expectations

• Building positive relationships with students

• Working alongside other members of the History department

• Taking part in departmental meetings and wider school activities

• Supporting students to reach their full potential

We're Looking For

The school is looking for a teacher who is enthusiastic, reliable and confident in the classroom, with a genuine passion for History.

You should be able to create a positive learning environment, manage behaviour effectively and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of different students.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification

• Experience teaching History at secondary level

• Strong subject knowledge

• Experience teaching GCSE History is desirable

• Enhanced DBS required
