About the Role

Our client is looking for caring and reliable Home Care Assistants to provide essential support to individuals within their own homes in the Nottingham area. This role is fundamental to enabling clients to maintain their independence and quality of life within a familiar environment. You will assist with daily living tasks, offering companionship and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients. Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, with dignity and respect.
• Help with domestic tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Administer or assist with medication as per care plans and training provided.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and activities.
• Monitor clients' well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the care coordinator promptly.
• Support clients to attend appointments or participate in community activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a caregiving role is an advantage but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
• A compassionate, patient, and reliable nature with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good communication and listening abilities.
• Willingness to undertake mandatory training and develop professional skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to visit multiple clients.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including mornings, evenings, and some weekends, within the Nottingham area.
