Home Care Assistant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes across the Norwich area. This role is fundamental in enabling clients to live independently and comfortably within their familiar surroundings. You will offer assistance with daily living tasks, provide companionship, and ensure clients receive the care they need with dignity and respect. Joining a dedicated team, you will be a key figure in promoting well-being and enhancing the quality of life for the elderly and vulnerable in the Norfolk community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, with sensitivity and respect.
• Help with domestic tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Support clients with medication reminders and administration where appropriate and trained.
• Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, or shopping trips.
• Provide companionship and engage in conversation, offering emotional support.
• Report any changes in a client's condition or concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a care assistant or in a similar caring role is advantageous but not essential.
• Kindness, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Reliability and punctuality are crucial for this role.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK and willing to undergo a DBS check for this position in Norwich .
