Home Care Assistant

About the Role

Our client is seeking compassionate and reliable Home Care Assistants to provide essential support to individuals within their own homes in and around Liverpool . This role is crucial in enabling clients to maintain their independence and quality of life within a familiar and comfortable environment. You will deliver personalised care, assisting with daily living tasks and providing companionship. This flexible, part-time position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients and make a direct, positive impact on their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support, including washing, dressing, and toileting, with dignity and respect.
• Assist with domestic tasks such as light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping.
• Prepare and serve meals, catering to specific dietary requirements.
• Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring safety and accuracy.
• Provide companionship and social support, engaging clients in conversation and activities.
• Accurately record all care provided and report any concerns or changes in a client's condition to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving is preferred but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• A caring, patient, and reliable nature.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a client's home.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including some evenings and weekends.
• Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles.
