About the Role

Our client is seeking a friendly and reliable Home Delivery Driver to join their team, serving customers in and around Plymouth . This role focuses on the direct-to-consumer delivery of goods, often requiring interaction with customers at their homes. You will be responsible for ensuring items are delivered safely, on time, and in excellent condition, representing the company with professionalism and courtesy. The ideal candidate is a skilled driver with excellent customer service abilities and a strong sense of responsibility, playing a key part in customer satisfaction for our client's operations in Devon .

Key Responsibilities

• Execute timely and efficient home deliveries of various products according to scheduled routes.
• Ensure all items are handled with care and delivered in perfect condition to customers' doorsteps.
• Verify delivery details and obtain necessary confirmations or signatures from customers.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety guidelines during deliveries.
• Provide a positive and helpful customer experience, addressing any queries politely.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving license (Category B) with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a delivery driver or customer-facing role is preferred.
• Good knowledge of the Plymouth area and surrounding districts.
• Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
• Physical capability to handle packages of varying sizes and weights.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
