Nursing Home Manager
Location: Bedfordshire
Salary: £60,000 per annum + Performance Bonus Scheme
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Care Home Manager to lead a well-established nursing, residential and dementia care service in Bedfordshire.
This role is ideal for a passionate and commercially aware leader who is committed to delivering outstanding person-centred care, driving quality improvements and maintaining strong occupancy levels. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring exceptional standards of care, compliance and operational performance.
You will be supported by a dedicated senior leadership team, alongside experienced Deputy Management, Administration, Hospitality and Housekeeping teams, enabling you to focus on delivering excellent outcomes for residents and staff.
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strong leadership and direction to the home's multidisciplinary team.
* Promote a positive culture centred on kindness, dignity, compassion and person-centred care.
* Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
* Maintain high-quality care delivery and resident satisfaction across the service.
* Manage budgets effectively and ensure financial targets are achieved.
* Drive occupancy through effective community engagement, relationship building and marketing initiatives.
* Oversee recruitment, retention, performance management and staff development.
* Ensure effective governance, risk management and safeguarding practices are embedded throughout the service.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience managing a nursing and/or residential care home.
* Strong working knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory compliance.
* Demonstrable success in improving care quality and achieving positive inspection outcomes.
* Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
* Proven commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and occupancy.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse qualification with active NMC registration desirable but not essential.
* Relevant health and social care management qualifications preferred.
