Home Manager – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Home Manager to lead a well-established large, residential dementia care home near Hitchin, Hertfordshire, on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a long-established, values-led not-for-profit care organisation. The organisation has a strong focus on quality, person-centred care and supporting both residents and colleagues, with an established central support team and excellent training and development provision.

The home provides residential dementia care and has a warm, welcoming environment where residents are at the heart of everything they do. As Home Manager, you will provide strong, visible leadership, working alongside an experienced regional and central support structure to ensure the home continues to deliver high standards of care.

The successful candidate will lead and inspire an established team, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality care and a positive culture across the home.

Salary and benefits

• Salary of up to £70,000 - £72,500 PA DOE, depending on skills, qualifications and experience

• 12-month fixed-term contract – maternity cover

• Support from an experienced Regional Manager and central support functions

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Home Manager within a residential care setting

• Experience working within dementia care would be highly desirable

• Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements

• A proven track record of leading, motivating and developing care teams

• Strong understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues

• Strong organisational and operational skills

• A warm, approachable and values-led leadership styleRelevant Level 4/5 qualification in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards this
