About the Role

Our client is seeking caring and reliable Home Support Assistants to join their growing team in Southampton . This role is dedicated to providing essential support and companionship to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life. You will offer practical assistance with daily tasks, build positive relationships, and ensure the safety and well-being of the people you support. Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with domestic tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Administer or prompt medication as per agreed care plans.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and chosen activities.
• Accurately record care activities, observations, and any changes in client condition.
• Report any concerns or issues to the care coordinator or supervisor promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a caregiving role is an advantage, but not essential as full training is provided.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and friendly demeanour.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to follow instructions and care plans meticulously.
• A compassionate attitude and respect for client confidentiality.
• Must possess a satisfactory DBS check.
