Our client is looking for compassionate and reliable Home Support Workers to join their expanding domiciliary care team in Sunderland . This essential role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care needs, including washing, dressing, and continence care.
- Support clients with daily living tasks such as preparing meals, light housekeeping, and managing finances.
- Administer medication safely and accurately according to prescribed instructions and care plans.
- Accompany clients on appointments or social outings, providing support and companionship.
- Monitor clients' health and well-being, recognising and reporting any changes to the care coordinator.
- Promote independence and choice for clients, respecting their dignity and privacy at all times in their own homes in Sunderland .
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caregiving role, particularly in domiciliary care, is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
- A strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
- Willingness to undergo a background check (DBS) and obtain relevant qualifications.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet client needs.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is often required for travel between client visits.
