About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and personable Hotel Concierge to provide exceptional service to guests at their premier hotel in Southampton . As the first point of contact for many guest needs and inquiries, you will be instrumental in creating a welcoming and memorable stay. This role requires an individual with extensive local knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to fulfilling guest requests, ranging from dining reservations and tour bookings to handling special arrangements. You will be a key ambassador for the hotel and the city, contributing to the positive reputation of the Hospitality & Tourism sector in Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of personalized service to guests, anticipating their needs and offering tailored recommendations.
• Assist guests with a wide range of requests, including restaurant reservations, theatre tickets, transportation, and local tour bookings.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local attractions, events, and transportation options in and around Southampton .
• Handle guest inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and efficiency.
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, vendors, and service providers to enhance guest offerings.
• Ensure the concierge desk is well-organized and presentable, maintaining a professional image at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a concierge or guest services role within the hospitality industry.
• Excellent knowledge of the local area, attractions, and services.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Proficiency in using reservation systems and standard office software.
• A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to assist guests.
