Hotel Duty Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and proactive Hotel Duty Manager to oversee hotel operations during shifts in the vibrant city of Brighton . This role requires a dedicated individual who can ensure the highest standards of guest service, operational efficiency, and staff performance across all departments while on duty. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities, handling guest issues, overseeing staff, and stepping in to manage any operational challenges that arise. This is a critical position for maintaining the hotel's reputation for excellence and providing a seamless experience for guests, working in a dynamic coastal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for hotel operations during assigned shifts, acting as the senior manager on duty.
• Ensure exceptional guest service standards are met and exceeded, addressing and resolving guest concerns effectively.
• Supervise and support all hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage.
• Manage staff performance, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
• Handle emergency situations and operational disruptions calmly and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel areas to maintain standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hotel industry, such as Assistant Front Office Manager or F&B Manager.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations across various departments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in emergency situations.
• Proficiency in hotel management systems and standard operational procedures.
