Lloyd Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for an experienced Hotel Sous Chef to join a professional kitchen team based on the outskirts of East Grinstead.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Sous Chef with hotel, events, or large-scale catering experience to join a well-established hospitality environment. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will support the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining exceptional food quality, hygiene standards, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and team supervision.
• Assist with menu preparation, food production, and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Manage stock control, food costs, portion control, and minimise waste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety standards.
• Support kitchen training and team development.
• Maintain excellent standards across all food service operations.

About You

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a hotel, events, or large-scale catering environment.
• Alternatively, strong Senior Chef de Partie experience looking for the next step.
• Level 2 Food Safety in Catering qualification preferred.
• Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
• Passionate about delivering high-quality food and service.
