HR Advisor - Employee Relations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated HR Advisor with a strong focus on Employee Relations to join their team in Southampton . This role is crucial for fostering a positive and productive work environment by effectively managing employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies, and providing expert advice to line managers. You will play a key part in resolving disputes, conducting investigations, and promoting best practices in people management across the organisation. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
• Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee issues, ensuring thorough documentation and fair outcomes.
• Provide timely and accurate advice to line managers on all employee relations matters and HR policy interpretation.
• Develop and deliver training to managers on effective employee relations practices and conflict resolution.
• Support the HR Business Partners in implementing HR strategies that enhance employee engagement and reduce risk.
• Keep abreast of changes in UK employment law and best practices in employee relations.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as an HR Advisor with a significant focus on employee relations.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, particularly in areas of dispute resolution and statutory rights.
• Proven ability to conduct investigations and manage sensitive employee issues with confidentiality and impartiality.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• CIPD Level 5 or above qualification preferred.
