HR Advisor - Employee Relations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled HR Advisor with a specialization in Employee Relations to join their team in Reading . This crucial role will involve managing a range of employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies and employment law across the organisation. You will work closely with managers to provide expert advice and support, fostering a positive and compliant workplace environment within a traditional office setting. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and support to line managers and employees on all aspects of employee relations.
• Lead and manage complex ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes from start to finish.
• Ensure all ER activities are conducted in line with company policies, procedures, and UK employment law.
• Develop and deliver training to managers on ER best practices and legal compliance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures related to employee conduct and performance.
• Maintain accurate records of ER cases and analyse trends to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.

Requirements

• CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification, or equivalent experience in an ER-focused HR role.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in handling a wide range of employee relations issues.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, particularly concerning disciplinary, grievance, and performance management.
• Strong investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain objective and fair.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, complex organisational environment.
