About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Advisor to join their bustling HR department in Birmingham . This role will be instrumental in supporting the day-to-day HR operations, ensuring the smooth implementation of HR policies and procedures across the organisation. You will work closely with the HR Manager and wider team, providing essential support to employees and management on a range of HR matters. This hybrid position offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-office collaboration, allowing for dynamic engagement with colleagues and access to company resources in the vibrant city of Birmingham , contributing to a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including candidate screening, interview scheduling, and contract preparation.
- Manage employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, with guidance from senior HR personnel.
- Maintain accurate employee records and update the HR Information System (HRIS) as required.
- Support the performance management cycle, including objective setting and appraisal processes.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of HR training initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an HR advisory or generalist HR role.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- CIPD Level 3 or above is preferred.
