HR Advisor Fixed Term Contract until end of 2026 Birmingham - 2 days per week in the office Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join a growing, people-focused organisation on a fixed-term basis. This is a broad HR generalist role with a strong focus on employee relations, providing professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across the business. You will work closely with the HR Manager and contribute to a positive, inclusive and engaging workplace.
The role would suit an experienced HR Advisor who is comfortable working in a smaller - medium organisation and enjoys a varied, hands-on workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR advice and guidance on capability, disciplinaries, grievances, performance and absence management.
- Support formal and informal meetings, providing appropriate HR guidance and accurate documentation.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and offboarding activities, including drafting adverts and supporting interviews.
- Conduct and support progress and exit interviews, identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate HR systems, employee records and training data.
- Support training needs analysis and the development of effective training programmes.
- Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing and wider people-focused projects.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to deliver people objectives.
About You
You will have:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification.
- At least 2 years' HR Advisory experience.
- Strong employee relations experience.
- Good knowledge of UK employment law and the ability to provide compliant advice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience working through periods of change and adapting to different priorities.
- A proactive, hands-on and collaborative approach.
- High levels of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to take on a varied generalist role with a strong ER focus, working closely with managers and employees and making a real contribution to employee engagement, wellbeing and the wider people agenda.
