About the Role
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and supportive HR Advisor to join their dedicated HR team in Derby, Derbyshire . This role involves providing practical advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of HR matters, including employee relations, performance, and policy implementation. You will be instrumental in ensuring HR practices are compliant and effective, contributing to a positive and productive working environment. The position requires a proactive approach to supporting HR operations and contributing to the development and delivery of HR services within the Derby area, ensuring alignment with the company's values and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to line managers and employees.
- Assist in managing employee relations cases, including grievances and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently and effectively.
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Maintain HR records and assist with HR reporting.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards it is desirable.
