About the Role
Our client is seeking a versatile HR Generalist to support their operations in Sunderland , with a focus on HR Operations and employee support. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the HR department, handling a broad spectrum of HR activities including onboarding, employee records management, HRIS administration, and supporting managers with HR queries. You will play a key part in maintaining efficient HR processes and providing a high level of service to employees and management, contributing to a productive and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a smooth and compliant process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Provide first-line support and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and queries.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
- Support the HR team with various operational tasks, including payroll administration and benefits management.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law across all HR operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a broad HR Generalist or HR Operations role.
- Proficiency in using HR Information Systems (HRIS) and HR software.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR qualification is desirable.
