HR Generalist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join their Human Resources department in Birmingham, West Midlands . This role is crucial for providing comprehensive HR support across various functions, including employee onboarding, HR administration, and employee engagement initiatives. You will work closely with employees and managers to ensure a positive and productive work environment, adhering to company policies and UK employment regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and contract management to offboarding processes.
• Provide guidance and support to employees and line managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Administer HR processes, including maintaining HR information systems (HRIS) and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement and retention strategies.
• Support recruitment activities, including coordinating interviews and managing candidate communication.
• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as required by the HR team.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a generalist HR role or a strong foundation in HR administration.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in using HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor.
• Relevant HR qualification or working towards one (e.g., CIPD Level 3 or above) is advantageous.
