HR Generalist

Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established agricultural business in Oswestry, looking to appoint a HR Generalist.

This is a stand-alone HR role responsible for managing the day-to-day HR function and providing trusted, practical HR advice and support to employees and managers across the organisation.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am – 5:00pm or 9am – 5:30pm – 30 minutes for lunch – Office based

Salary: Competitive, Depending on experience

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

• Act as the main point of contact for HR across the organisation, providing advice and guidance to employees and managers.

• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contracts, changes to employment and leavers.

• Draft and issue employment contracts, amendments and other HR documentation.

• Provide practical HR advice on policies, procedures and day-to-day employment matters.

• Support and advise managers on employee relations cases, including absence, performance, conduct and grievances.

• Ensure HR policies and processes are applied consistently, fairly and in line with employment legislation.

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems.

• Take ownership of HR processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and employee experience.

• Support the development and review of HR policies and procedures.

• Provide HR reporting and insights to management as required.

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in a stand-alone HR or HR generalist role.

• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.

• Experience advising managers and handling employee relations matters.

• Confident working autonomously and making sound, practical HR decisions.

• Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.

• High level of discretion and confidentiality.

• CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD is desirable.
