Job Description
HR Manager
Northumberland | Full Time
I'm delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a growing, engineering-led business that operates across transport, logistics, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors.
With ambitious growth plans and a strong people-first culture, they're now looking to appoint a strategic HR Manager to lead and shape the people agenda during an exciting period of expansion.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You'll be trusted to make things happen, influence senior stakeholders, and build a people function that supports a fast-moving, commercially focused business.
The Role
Reporting directly to the leadership team, you'll take ownership of all people-related activity across the business, including:
* Leading and developing the people strategy to support growth.
* Owning the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment through to exit.
* Managing employee relations and employment law matters.
* Coaching and supporting managers to build high-performing teams.
* Driving engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives.
* Overseeing HR systems, payroll inputs, benefits and people reporting.
* Building scalable processes, policies and frameworks as the business grows.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has experience as a Senior HRBP or HR Manager.
* Has experience working in a stand alone HR role
* Is CIPD qualified (or brings equivalent experience).
* Has strong employment law expertise.
* Is strategic in their thinking but equally happy getting into the detail.
* Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* Can juggle multiple priorities and adapt quickly.
* Works autonomously and takes ownership of outcomes.
* Is commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-focused.
* Isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up and do whatever is needed to get the job done.
What's on Offer?
* A genuinely influential role with direct access to senior leadership.
* The opportunity to shape and build a growing people function.
* Significant autonomy and ownership.
* A collaborative, down-to-earth culture.
* Competitive salary and benefits package.
If you're an experienced people leader who loves building, improving and making a real impact, I'd love to hear from you
