About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Officer to support their operations in Sunderland . This role is integral to the smooth running of the HR department, providing essential support across a variety of HR functions, including employee onboarding, payroll queries, HR administration, and assisting with employee relations. You will work closely with the HR Manager and the wider team to ensure a positive and compliant working environment for all staff in the Tyne and Wear region. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the HR administration for employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support the recruitment process, including advertising roles, screening applications, and coordinating interviews.
- Conduct new employee inductions and assist with the onboarding process.
- Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Assist in the preparation of HR reports and documentation.
- Support the HR team in managing employee relations issues and disciplinary procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an HR Officer or HR Administrator role is essential.
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Proficient in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- CIPD Level 3 or working towards it is advantageous.
