HR Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Officer to join their team in Portsmouth . This role is integral to the smooth operation of the HR department, providing essential support to employees and management on a day-to-day basis. Operating under a hybrid work model, you will be involved in a broad range of HR activities, including employee relations, recruitment, HR administration, and supporting the implementation of HR strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line HR support and advice to employees and line managers on various HR matters.
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned vacancies, ensuring an efficient and positive candidate experience.
• Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with current legislation and company guidelines.
• Support employee relations activities, including investigations, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure the HR Information System is up-to-date.
• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR service delivery and employee engagement.

Requirements

• CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Experience in a similar HR role, with a good understanding of general HR practices.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
• Experience in recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Proficiency in using HRIS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of integrity.
