Key Responsibilities

• Manage and advise on a wide range of employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary hearings, and grievance procedures in Plymouth .
• Interpret and apply HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
• Provide guidance and support to line managers on employee conduct, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Develop and deliver training to managers and employees on key employee relations topics.
• Contribute to the development and review of HR policies to ensure they are current and effective.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee relations cases.
• Promote a culture of fairness, respect, and constructive dialogue within the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HR Specialist or HR Advisor with a significant focus on employee relations.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law relating to employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Excellent investigative, mediation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with tact and discretion.
• CIPD Level 5 or above qualification is highly desirable.
